Eating Light is about the energy of food and how that energy affects the body. Food can support the body by acting in harmony with us so as to be building, regenerating or detoxifying or it can be disruptive and damaging causing imbalance, suppression or raciness. Most people would assume that "light" eating is about dieting and all to do with the number of calories or fat etc that what you are eating contains. It is instead about eating to boost the body's natural vitality or fire to support and build a body of love. Eating light is about lovingly choosing to avoid foods like gluten and dairy that dull and lessen the body. Gluten and dairy both leave the body feeling bloated, heavy and sluggish and foods containing them are often used for comfort or to hide our true essence taking us away from our true firey nature.
By Eating Light you can begin to:
• Feel in to what, when and how much to eat as your body knows what it needs and when it is full.
• Learn how to make food that raises the energy of the ingredients to give a meal that can feed the body back with love simply by adding herbs, garlic or chilli.
• Consider how food is prepared, if you cook when you are angry then your anger is transferred to the food which you are about to serve and eat.
Taking the above into consideration it makes sense when cooking to be gentle and present focusing on what you are doing as well as how you are doing it as your energy affects the energy of the food. Try stirring food using figure eight and anticlockwise movements as cooking this way will also raise and support the energy of what you are preparing.
I hope you will enjoy the recipes presented in this blog and find them helpful and supportive to your choice to use food to bring light to your body.
About Me
- I am an esoteric student following the teachings of the ancient wisdom as presented by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine. As such I have made the self-loving choice not to eat gluten or dairy. This initially lead to the challenges of well what can I eat if I'm not having bread and pasta etc. It has taken many hours of searching and experimenting to come up with some ideas for meals and snacks for myself and my family. Therefore I wanted to use this blog to share these ideas but also to allow and encourage others to share their own gluten and dairy free receipes to make it more accessible for those also choosing to live in this way.
